Allan Law, the Sandwich Man

Good morning,

Wow, Minnesota looks like Christmas today! Last night snow began to fall and it was literally like we were in a snow globe! It was snowing so hard I could not see the road in front of me. Rain came first so the streets are filled with icy spots. This is winter; so pretty from the snow, yet scary from the snow! Isn’t that life? Filled with good and bad! Ease and friction. Love and hate. Christ in my life sure helps with both.

I read a teaching today that is all about the anointing of oil on Christ-filled people: He Anoints You with Oil.

In the Bible, oil is symbolic of the anointing of God. Do you know what oil does? It makes things flow. Whenever there is friction or something gets stuck, putting oil on it makes it become more fluid. That’s what God wants to do for you. He wants to anoint your head with oil. When He does that, notice what David says in Psalm 23: Because God anoints me, because I walk in His favor; surely, goodness and mercy will follow me everywhere I go.

Friend, God’s anointing makes things easier. People will go out of their way to be good to you for no reason. You’re going to have creativity, wisdom, and good ideas. God’s anointing on your life will cause the right doors to open. It will bring the right people across your path. It will make things go smoother. And the good news is, all you have to do is ask Him for it. Remember, He longs to be good to you. You can trust that His anointing will make things easier.

Jesus came to help us! That is the good stuff of asking Christ into your life. He has words of wisdom in every situation. He truly does send people in your path. Gives us family, friends, neighbors, and strangers. Our part is to ask Him for what we need!!

Last week I told you about the gofundme.com account I started for “Allan Law Needs a Warehouse.” Allan has the anointing of oil on his life’s work. The fund has gone crazy and the words of encouragement that people add to their donation is so heartfelt, letting him know that what he is doing matters to strangers who don’t even know him. One family saw it on TV and donated a 13-person van to him in honor of their son, Nash, who passed away at 17 years old from a life-long disease. I know you all have people, charities, causes that God uses you to be oil for, making it flow!!

We each matter to people we don’t even know yet! Christmas is Christ’s birthday, the good!! Marketing and Santa have tried to hijack it, the bad! Jesus came to a little town in Bethlehem, only ever traveled in a 30-mile radius for only 33 years of earthly life, thousands of years ago! Millions and millions of people are still alive in Him and spreading his message through our words, our hands, and our hearts. Let them try and hijack His birthday!

The Light of the world is here! He wants to be everyone’s Savior, Redeemer, and friend. He is Love! He is Good! Happy Birthday, Merry Christmas, Jesus!

Love you, Teri
