Good morning,
I have been out at our ranch quite a bit lately and I always feel the presence of the Holy Spirit so much out there. I think a lot of that feeling comes from knowing what a gift Spirit Hill Ranch is. I always give praise and credit to God for leading us to this awesome little slice of Minnesota. Can you imagine if I left God’s part out and I only talked about what a lot of work, how expensive to heat, how blah, blah, blah… about our ranch?? God inhabits the Praises of His people. (Psalm 22:3.) That means He is comfortable in the midst of our sweet praises, but He is not comfortable in the midst of our sour attitudes.
Do you know that we are the dwelling place of God? God lives in our inner man!
Just like the portable tabernacle that was in the wilderness with Moses and the Israelites. It was a fenced-in area with an outer court and an inner court. God dwelled in the inner court. They understood that the inner court was a holy place. But now in the mystery of God’s plan, we are like a portable tabernacle: We move from place to place, and God dwells inside us. There is still an outer court, a holy place, and a most holy place. The outer court is our body, the holy place is our soul and the most holy place is our spirit.
When we examine our inner lives, we are looking at holy ground where the Spirit of God wants to make His home. God is much more interested in our inner lives than in our outer lives, and we need to be more concerned about what goes on inside us than about our external behavior. Praise, worship, and honor God in your inner life. When your “insides” are right, your “outsides” will follow!
I know a lot of people think God is up above in the sky or in the sunrise or rainbow or somewhere external and He is, but if you are a Christ follower and believe in, adhere to, trust in, and rely on Jesus, you are a temple of God and He is in you!! I heard once from a minister the reason we bow our head in prayer is because God is in your heart and that is where you should be speaking to him!
Make a list of all your praises, sing the song, “Count Your Many Blessings,” start a new routine of acknowledging God is in you! Look at your heart and tell God each morning or every time you think of it what you are thankful for, how He can provide healing, finances, help, etc… and you will see your inner man start to take over your feeling of well-being, your attitude of gratefulness, your awareness of what a huge, awesome God we have and that will evoke such praise you can hardly find words to express!!
Love you, Teri
