Connection

Good morning,

Only a couple more days until Christmas! Hope you have enjoyed all the season holds. One of the most fun parts of Christmas is the cards from all our friends, coworkers, and families. I love that photos and beautiful cards with winter scenes or Christ in a manger are on each one I open. One of my dad’s friends has painted a Christmas card every year for 40 years. His local paper did a story on him and he included it with his card this year. So many works of art! He is a Norman Rockwell-style painter and very accomplished. What a special treat every year for people who personally know him. It might seem like a lot of work to get those cards out each year but I, for one, totally love and appreciate them so much. I tape them all over my kitchen so I can look at them over coffee in the morning.

So why the cards? It started as a way for people to keep in touch at Christmas. Travel was not as easy–and for heaven’s sake, no email or cell phones. Now, I think we still want to connect in an extra special way, to let you know you are important to us and we want to send you a tiny little Christmas present from our house to yours.

Connection is the central theme of Christ being born. He came to clear the way for anyone, whosoever, you… to be forever and ever eternally connected to God! Some people are connected a tiny bit, some are connected each week, and some are connected every minute, and some not at all. God is always, every second, every nanosecond connected to anyone who chooses His Son. He can only be connected if people know about Him. It seems at Christmas people are most open to go to church or hear music about God than any other time of the year. This year maybe you can help someone get connected to God.

Our church did something new this year. They made a YouTube video to bring church to your house titled, “Worship Where You Are.” Very warm and non-threatening with music. If you have an opportunity to go to this link and share with your family or someone you think would be helped by this, play it for them! http://link2.bblink.co/bbext/?p=link&id=fe7c38bd-add1-94f8-dadc-abc1bd2ea305&c=57398479-57ec-58bd-cb37-8d28eeece3d2&cid=44221FEA7D923863E0530100007FC769&dst=S29jUmR2NXN0WmpZVm5ab0s1cVl3V1g1dytSMEhBaFo1TGhFL0E9PQ%3D%3D&eml=simplyteri45%40aol.com

Merry Christmas!

Love you, Teri
