Good morning,
If you were to stop right now and count yesterday’s blessings, could you run out of fingers? If you stopped and counted the blessings you were expecting today, would you run out of fingers and toes?? I sure hope you are living like Christ intended you to live! Blessed and filling yourself up with the truth that is written in the words God has spoken over you. Read and find out for yourself what you have!
Yesterday, Steve, Jack, Robin, and I were in California driving back from breakfast and we were talking about some of the crazy things people believe. Steve said, “If Christopher Columbus believed the popular thing at his time, that the world was flat, none of us would be driving around Manhattan Beach enjoying our world.” We all laughed and said, “True! Good one, Steve!” I then chimed in and told one of the phrases you hear on Christian TV all the time, “People can believe anything, but it doesn’t make it true!”
The blessings of God that have been spoken over you by Him have to be believed in order for its power to be released. The problem is, most of us just don’t believe in the power of a blessing. We have blessings in the Bible spoken over us, like: By His stripes you were healed. (1 Peter 2:24) If you believed in the power of blessings, it would work.
While in California our friend was in the Long Beach Grand Prix. It was really exciting and awesome to see all the cars and be a part of the scene! When we were leaving, a group of people were yelling and holding signs and yelling at everyone, “Turn to Jesus or burn in Hell.” This is such rubbish! Jesus did not threaten people into the kingdom. The people with those signs were scaring people. Jesus is not scary in the least. He is approachable, forgiving, happy, powerful, helping, healing… our Savior. Jesus has a message and He told everyone in Mark 16:15: Go into all the world and preach and publish openly the good news (gospel) to every creature [of the whole human race].
We have to believe in the power of our words. We must believe in the power of God’s blessings.
This is the only life I have. I choose every day to receive and believe God has blessed me! I read it in devotionals and the Bible each morning. I am thankful for it each day! I do not give my joy or blessings away!! I acknowledge and count what I am blessed with as much as I can. Doing all of that gives me joy that is pressed down, shaken together, and running over! Joy in a person cannot be argued with. Show your joy today! It comes when we recognize our blessings. Jesus is a gift, our truly biggest blessing!
Love you, Teri
