God Did Something So Sweet!

Good morning,

I watched a Christian show this morning and the teaching was all about the celebrations God told the Israelites to have for different times. Celebrate the harvest, celebrate victories, celebrate weddings, celebrate friends at your home for dinner! God loves a party! I love a party!! My husband is always telling me I will celebrate anything! LOL!

The other thing the teaching was on is blessing people. My husband, Steve, came home yesterday with a huge bag full of presents he had collected for our friends that we are going to see in Canada this week. He put so much thought into the presents and ordered things months ago. We are talking 12 people and it is his delight to give these things because he truly is this generous. He was so inspiring and adorable yesterday showing  me and our friend Linnea all his gifts!

My friend Robin always has a gift bag for her guests when they come to visit her home. She gives things that she loves and thinks we would love too. I am always so inspired by her thoughtfulness. My friend Sue baked cookies and printed a picture from her plans of their new house on a darling card she attached to a bag of cookies that said, “SWEET we are going to be neighbors” for everyone on her street as they started construction on their new home. She and her husband even drove over to my house and gave us one because we are moving to Excelsior. They so blessed us and the cookies were delicious!

Steve, my friends, and the message this morning all inspire me and magnify God to me. God blesses us because He wants to. He blesses us because He wants us to enjoy our lives.  He blesses us because He loves every single solitary person on this earth who ever has been or ever will be! He blesses us because it is fun. He blesses us because it gives Him joy! He blessed us with Jesus!! Can I hear an AMEN!

Bless someone this week because it is fun and unexpected and it is for no reason other than to celebrate someone. It is especially fun to bless someone who you don’t particularly like! That is a whole other level of feeling and understanding why forgiveness is for you! The whole point of the story is: Giving gifts means you love and thought about someone and how much fun it will be to have them receive a little something. God also did something so sweet; the giver is usually more blessed than the receiver!

Make today a great day!

Love you, Teri
