Good morning,
Wow, what a weekend we just experienced in gorgeous Canada with the Montreal Grand Prix 2018! Steve, the boys, and I all caught the Formula 1 racing bug last year over Steve’s 60th birthday at the Monte Carlo Grand Prix 2017. Just like everything in life, it is all about the people and the connections you make with them at a heart level. With Christ first in my heart I am tuned to anything about Him. What I recognize I can be thankful for. Jesus isn’t in the air somewhere that we are trying to hopefully get a prayer to. He is inside of us. Going everywhere we go. When we bow our head in prayer it is pointing our face to our heart where He is! Our whole relationship changes when we understand that one thing. Now, I can constantly be saying, “Thank you, Jesus,” as I enjoy each moment and time as I am in it.
The F1 race trip was organized and executed by a wonderful couple, James and Lisa, who we met in Colorado where we go skiing. Lisa is a prayer warrior and I love that about her. James is one of those people who loves Christ and Christ uses him to bring all walks of life together. James introduced me to Scott and Brandon and the Vail Church where Scott is the men’s group pastor. Brandon is building Camp Royal so kids can do extreme sports and learn their identity in Christ.
True to James calling as a connector we met wonderful new friends for life on this trip. Love and acceptance, stories and careers all made delightful conversations. The generosity and humble hearts were a blessing. I found myself thanking God all the time for such fun, gorgeous homes opened up to us with amazing food, hospitality, and knowledge that Christ was alive and working in so many people.
Jack and I had the pleasure of sitting across from Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson and his gorgeous wife, Ciara. He told me about his accepting Christ into his heart at 14 years old and how it made him who he is today. He and Ciara spoke into Jack telling how they not only speak their goals, but write them down. He told Jack a verbal contract means nothing, a written contract is taken seriously. They asked questions about Jack and what he wanted to do with his life. He spoke about how eagles don’t struggle to soar when they are in the air… that is how our relationship with Christ is. I could go on and on how both he and Ciara were present and humble as people wanted pictures and time. They were glad to do it every single time.
Christ in us is for the purpose of flowing out of us. Share your joy and love! Pray for others and forgive easily. It in return makes you able to recognize and be thankful! It is how we love and hold precious the life we have been given.
Love you, Teri
