Colorado!!

Good morning,

I just came back from a weekend in the beautiful Colorado mountains. The air is brisk and cool in the mornings and I love that kind of start to the day. I opened the door and sat in the nearest chair so I could feel the cool air on my neck as I read the Bible, drank my coffee, and fed my spirit with the Book of John. My body loves coffee and breakfast; my spirit loves all the truth in Jesus. I am so thankful for a healthy body and a healthy interior life.

One of the things I was thinking about as I read was: Jesus was telling people that God made us to be dependent on Him. He never meant for us to live life separate from Him.

You know how we recognize sayings from a celebrity or athlete or product, like Nike’s “Just Do It” phrase. Well, Jesus says over and over again, “Believe me, I assure you, most solemnly I tell you…“ and whatever He says after that is something He wants us to understand. Jesus knew that it was so hard for people to understand selflessness, love, forgiveness, grace, and blessings.

YOU CANNOT GIVE AWAY WHAT YOU DON’T HAVE! We screw up our interior life when left dependent on ourselves.

I capitalized the above sentence to SHOUT OUT that angry people, hurt people, in-a-mess people, first and foremost need to believe that they can drop all their anguish and fear and self-hate today simply by believing Jesus has the authority from God to:

• Forgive you anything, so you can forgive.
• Love you, so you can love.
• Has the grace to heal all the hurt you have endured from others, so you can give grace instead of hurt to people.

All you do is believe Jesus is the Son of God sent to give you eternal life and receive the grace so you can give grace. Nothing will ever be the same! God is good!!
