Fall is Flying Fast!

Good morning,

My word, this fall has been a busy one for me! How can it already be the middle of October??

God gave me a little present the other day and slowed me down just enough to really look around and be present in the moment. I was following my client, Sue, to a stone store to hopefully find some exterior stone for the house she is building. I knew where I was going but her GPS must have decided that going through some neighborhoods was faster.

At first, I was like, “What is she doing??”

Then she turned left and went right past 5612 West 66th Street: the house in Edina where I lived from about 5 years old until middle school. She then went past the park where we played so often. She took a right and went past houses and I could remember the families, and the many bike trips up and over a hill that took us to the convenience store where we would get a snack. I went from, “What are we doing?” to “What a special treat to look around and enjoy this unexpected trip down memory lane with gorgeous fall colors painted all over that beautiful neighborhood.”

When I look back on the fall of 2018, that 10-minute slow down from God, to me, said: Look what I have done, painted the trees bright beautiful colors; given you a childhood that was filled with happy memories, people, and family; a gift for design that helps people (that I love doing); a heart and mind that recognize my God, so abundant, so big, so willing to help and love me at any moment on any day!! All I have to do is recognize a gift, see the positive, then… “Thank you, God,” comes out of my mouth! Thank you, thank you.

My prayer is that you are looking around and seeing the beauty and special moments on the journey of your life.

Love you, Teri

P.S. The stone store we were going to had closed that location years ago! LOL
