Good morning,
We have sold the house and we are moving! So excited, mercy…so much stuff! Thankfully, they bought all the furniture and rugs so we don’t have to move that part of our things! My wonderful friend Marla has been helping us pack and she is hilarious! She is having such fun finding treasures in the “Goodwill” pile and taking boxes of vases, platters, baskets, and accessories. I love seeing her delight and ideas for the things she is finding as treasure.
Packing sure makes you look at all the memories in the cupboards and attic. My heart is filled with joy as I find pieces with our kids as little guys, doing sports, school, and friends. All the pictures of the cousins so small and little cherub faces. Our siblings, parents, and friends on trips, holidays, and birthday parties. Thirty-five years of marriage holds a lot of people. I feel so thankful that the love and work of marriage brings these kinds of rewards.
Steve and I never did this alone. We always had God right in the middle of all of it. Jesus is the glue that binds my life. The Holy Spirit is counselor, comforter, teacher, helper, and so much more.
Just like my stuff being discarded by me and picked up as treasure to Marla, so will the next season of our life be cleared out of the old stuff, some things kept for the next destination, and excitement for the new things to add with the change. All of it wrapped up in gratitude that God is good, and friends and family go where you go!
Love you, Teri
