A Very Special Birthday Card

Good morning,

I love January with all the opportunity to start a new… chapter, year, good habits, fasting, whatever is your thing and for me it is birthday month!! I laugh a lot about this because I love people and I love to celebrate! My husband thinks I am hilarious and ridiculous as I head out to yet another birthday brunch, lunch, dinner, HH…

Anyway, I was reading in Ephesians, Chapter 1, this week and it occurred to me it is God’s birthday card to me and every single person on the earth who He created to one day be His adopted child.

It is such a wonderful chapter filled with all the wishes and promises He has for me, his daughter, who He loves beyond our scope of understanding.

This is how it would read, to each one of us, on our birthday:

Happy Birthday!

I want you to know that you are mine and how loved, special, and valuable you are to me! I picked you out as my own, planned in love for you, and adopted you through Jesus Christ because it pleased Me and was my kind intent. My gift to you through grace and heart peace is an inheritance as my child forever lavishing on you wisdom and understanding of my will for you. Through the Holy Spirit my love is poured into your heart and I want you to live before Me in love.

 Always remember, you belong to me! Happy birthday my love.
