The Most Important Thing!

Good morning,

Last week while in Colorado I had some friends over for a Mexican dinner party. The food was catered by a wonderful gal named Isobel. She is filled with joy and love, not only for the food she makes, but for the happy attitude she brings. When we pray over the dinner, Isobel and her staff join hands with us and thank the Lord for the blessings we are about to receive and how thankful we are for friends, family, safety, and His love.

After dinner we were gathered around our island and about eight or nine of us started talking about our personal stories with Christ. We talked about how we became Christians and what we thought about God. James, our friend, and Tom kept asking really good questions and perspectives; all the while Scott, a pastor at the Vail Church was adding his thoughts along with Mike. We had myself, Regina, and Lisa (all very strong women) and Anne, a lawyer (they debate for a living), but never was anyone offended or even arguing any point. We ended the conversation with what we all thought was the most important thing: LOVE!

It was so fun and everyone emailed the next day about how awesome it was to spend two hours talking about God. How often at a party does that happen and if it does… arguing usually ends the conversations?

When we lay down our religion and invite our friend Jesus into our life and have conversations we realize how amazing He is, how thankful we are, and that He told us: You can give, you can attend church, you can lead church, you can sacrifice, you can read your Bible, but if you don’t love… you never knew me!

To give love, we have to know LOVE… our friend, Jesus is LOVE!

Love you, Teri
