Good morning,
In Minnesota we had the snowiest February in, like, 130 years! Last week we had the biggest meltdown of snow, flooding places everywhere. Water is very powerful! We all understand that. We respect and cooperate with the power of it, because without it to drink we die. Get caught in it out of control, you respect it or die! When we command water through our efforts (dams, boats, plumbing, swimming, skiing, freezers, etc.), we have great fun, help, you name it, but it takes your efforts.
I was reading in Ephesians in our Bible study, and Ephesians 3:20 teaches us that God is able to do exceedingly, abundantly above and beyond all we could dare to hope, ask, or think, according to His great power that is at work in us. It is God’s power, but it is done through us. So we need to cooperate with Him. This means we need to be daring in our path and inner prayers. I encourage you to stretch your faith into new realms beyond your “highest prayers, desires, thoughts, hopes, or dreams.”
If we think water is powerful, we have a tiny glimpse of the power in God’s pinky!!
This week practice:
Pray first.
Ask God to go in first.
Have faith.
Give thanks.
Our God is BIG and our God is POWERFUL! He does it through us, that is the thing we need to get! Our prayers and petitions with thanksgiving are the path.
Love you, Teri
