Good morning,
I am going to assume most people have heard about a little 5-year-old boy who was thrown off the 3rd-floor balcony at the Mall of America in Minnesota. The reason I assume that, is because when someone hurts a child like that all of our protective, compassionate feathers go up. It makes the news and we just want to help, give hope, and we sympathize with the situation.
The family of the 5-year-old goes to a wonderful church in Minnesota. His mother had gone to the mall to meet friends and she just had a sense of dread as she walked in and couldn’t shake it, so she started to pray. A short while later, her son was thrown off the balcony by a mentally ill man. As she was running down the stairs to her son people were yelling and screaming and she kept yelling, “Just pray, just pray!!”
The doctors are saying it is a miracle!! That is the headline of the news articles. He has the kind of injuries that a child would get falling off a bike. They did an MRI for 5 hours and all his organs are perfect. The broken bones in his face all went back together perfectly. He has no brain injuries. A miracle!
His mother knew the power of prayer!
A lot of times we pray as a last resort. We need to realize that prayer is power and a first line of defense. God is good! People have free will and that can cause us a lot of pain. God is always for us, we have been given power in our words, so pray about everything. Speak positive. Speak prayers and refuse to doubt! Be a victor in all circumstances. Forgive because it is for you. Love, because you are loved by God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit!
Love you, Teri
