Funny Analogy!

Good morning,

I saw what I thought was a hilarious post on Instagram yesterday:

Don’t forget to

drink water and get sun. 

You’re basically a houseplant

with complicated emotions!

Funny analogy! Have you noticed that God made everything in our universe that is living to have seeds and harvests? We truly do need water and sun physically and spiritually; a sunny disposition is delightful to be around. Love can flow out of a person so beautifully! Have you noticed that seeds can look very different? What you plant will grow!! Spread positive words and watch your world change. Plant harmony and watch your work environment change. Plant oranges and you will get an orange tree, not an apple tree!

Things we plant need more than just the planting! They need water, sun, weeding, mowing, forgiveness, encouragement, love, prayer, laughter, hugs, discipline, Father, Son and Holy Spirit!

In John 15, Jesus compares our relationship with Him to that of a living plant. He is the vine, we are the branches. Although it is not stated in John 15, we could also say the Holy Spirit is the gardener who prunes us and keeps the weeds in us from choking the fruit.
