Good morning,
I have been out at our ranch and did not have my computer. Yesterday I just drove home, unplugged it, and brought it out here. Funny how we are creatures of habit and when that gets disrupted it takes finding our new normal, doing what it takes, and then getting comfortable with it. I don’t like to write on a laptop so I don’t have one. That means: my big computer or I don’t write the message. Big computer it is!
My prayer is that the world finds a new normal in the blessings that come out of horrible circumstances! I hope we all keep thinking of helping our family, friends, and neighbors. Praying for doctors and nurses, and staff taking care of our elderly at senior care. Praying for those in government. That we find ways to connect and sing or do exercises through outdoor balconies or driveways. That families cook and eat together. I hope we are grateful for small things that are silly or just take time, and we take the time.
Man, I was sent so much wisdom from the Christian ministers, family, and friends that I follow. I started writing on a simple black board, “Today’s Challenge,” then writing a scripture or good quote, then filming it in my Instagram story. So many people commented that they loved reading them. Here are a couple:
The Lord will perfect that which concerns me. (Psalm 138:8)
It isn’t the mountains that wear you out, it’s the grain of sand in your shoe.
I am able to do all things through HIM who strengthens me. (Philippians 4:23)
To those who seek and search for God with all their heart, He will reveal Himself.
If any of you lacks wisdom, they should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to them. (James 1:5)
WORRY DOES NOT TAKE AWAY TOMORROW’S TROUBLES. IT TAKES AWAY TODAY’S PEACE.
But Jesus spoke to them at once, “Don’t be afraid.” He said, “Take Courage, I am here.” Then he climbed into the boat and the wind stopped. They were totally amazed. (Mark 6:50-51)
With Christ’s help I don’t give my joy away. I say out loud: God is good! I speak positive, listen to news only once a day, and speak what gift came out of today. Say what you want, not what you don’t want. We believe most what we say!!
I read this quote: You’re not stuck at home, you’re safe at home. One word can change your attitude and one cough can change your life.
Let’s have peace and joy in our circumstance! This too shall pass.
Love you, Teri
