Write Through Me Today

Good morning,

I asked the Holy Spirit to write through me today as I took communion early this morning. I stood in my kitchen and prayed, “Tell me what I am supposed to say after a week of shock over George Floyd’s slow and deliberate murder on the street and in front of everyone from Minnesota by the very police who are supposed to serve and protect us. Riots and protests, burning down innocent businesses. All the people coming out the very next morning to help and serve the vandalized. The big fuel tanker barreling at thousands of people and miraculously stopped with no one killed, especially the driver! All the voices telling all of us around the world that this has to change!”

I walked into my office. A slip of paper with the verse 1 Samuel 3:10 from Sunday’s sermon. Open on my desk was my Bible from yesterday when I looked up John 13:34 to add it to my Instagram post. I use a teaching Bible from Joyce Meyer where she adds commentary in the margins to help with learning and she titles them.

Holy Spirit speak for your servant is listening. (1 Samuel 3:10)

“I am giving you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, so you too are to love one another.” “By this everyone will know that you are My disciples, if you have love and unselfish concern for one another.” (John 13:34-35)

Joyce Meyers commentary titles: Great people serve. Major in love.

Love you, Teri
