Perfect!

Good morning,

My sweet grandson, Beau, when he does something or sees something, he says, “Perfect!” It is so funny and wonderful all at the same time. He usually lifts both his hands up as he says it, totally meaning it. His delight is just so innocent and positive and joyful that you just agree with him with your whole heart.

I was reading my Bible this morning and I love John 16:33, “I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace. In the world you have tribulation and distress and suffering, but be courageous [be confident, be undaunted, be filled with joy]; I have overcome the world.” [my conquest is accomplished. My victory abiding.]

Jesus was talking in the chapters before John 16 about the Holy Spirit. Jesus was going away so that anyone who believed in the Son, He would send the Holy Spirit to be with you, to be Helper (Comforter, Advocate, Intercessor-Counselor, Strengthener, Standby).

God sent Jesus to set us free and to give us righteousness, peace, and joy. Our spirits should be light and carefree, not oppressed and heavy with burdens we are unable to bear. We cannot bear our sins; Jesus came to bear them. He alone is able and willing to do it for us!!

What a wonderful God we have! Jesus has overcome the world! Holy Spirit is here to help every believer change from sin to victory with conviction, not guilt and condemnation!

I can just see Beau’s face and hands going up and saying, “Perfect!”

Love you, Teri
