Good morning,
I have been reading the Psalms the last couple of weeks and man, is it good! David, the author of most of the Psalms, has every problem we do. Nothing is ever new under the sun! He faces enemies, failure, depression, fear, homelessness, anger, hope, joy, trust, faith. He writes about all of it! One thing that repeats over and over again in the 150 Psalms is: I will Praise and thank you O Lord, for your lovingkindness endures forever.
I have started my day telling God how thankful I am to know Him. I praise His glory for being a loving God who cares about me and all the people of the world and it changes my day! I am praying for our country and Christian values having victory!
In the Bible, in stories about Israel they would send out musicians and worshipers praising, the Lord ahead of the army when a battle was about to start and they would get victory, because the Lord was with them and they shouted it out to the enemy!
He speaks Praises to the Lord continually for his help, his lovingkindness, his strength. When David worships God and talks about some of His strong attributes, his faith is being strengthened. He writes and talks to the Lord about his problems and speaks about his hurts, fears and how he wants God to attack his enemies and evil-doers. David confides in the Lord telling everything he feels, but only after he has worshiped the Lord. He does this because when we remember good things and remember that we have God almighty as our champion, we get encouraged!
Whatever you are facing today, remember you can always choose to Praise the Lord and speak out with your mouth that you are thankful for His lovingkindness! It is written thousands of times in Psalms. I think David wants us to apply it! Why? Because it worked! God wants us to be victors and enjoy our life with peace, mercy, joy! We are in the grace generation! Lord Jesus has overcome the world!
Love you, Teri
Psalm 117 is A Psalm of Praise. O praise the Lord all you nations! Praise Him, all you people! For His lovingkindness prevails over us [and we triumph and overcome through Him] And the truth of the Lord endures forever. Praise the Lord! (Hallelujah)
