Speak to the Heart

Good morning,

Are you feeling different this year? Are you thinking, “Silly question!” Everyone on Earth is going through change this year!! Funny how united we all are and at the same time isolated.

Our church, Westwood, put up thousands of lights, made hot chocolate, hired a darling llama and gave out a cookie as you drove through and looked at the celebration. All for free. No donation. Just come and be a part of the light. Cars were lined up for miles in each direction at both of the locations. Our friend and Pastor, Joel, was there saying hello to each car in Chanhassen. They are doing it again this weekend.

It is all about the light! Jesus is the Light of the world!

Jesus tells all believers to let their light shine. Do not hide it under a bushel. Light comes with seeing. Light shows us the path. Light gives us hope when we can’t find any.

If you are feeling dark with being scared or facing health issues or anger, too much family, etc., Jesus tells us to do things. Christ in our life is active.

Just like our church did something, we can too. We can speak words of COMFORT to ourselves and others. They are: Thank you… I’m sorry…. I love you…. I forgive you….

Isaiah 40 says, Speak tenderly, and speak to the heart.

Speaking out changes us. Seeing positive things changes us. Speaking prayers of grace changes us.

Let this year turn us to Christ. Get to know Him better as your personal friend. Talk to Him. Use the authority He has given you and speak healing over people in His powerful name. Forgive yourself anything. Forgive easily and quickly your family and friends. Say thank you and smile easily and quickly. Give prayers quickly and frequently for those who need it and sometimes that is you!

Love came down to the world as a gift many Christmases ago! He lit up the world free to anyone who wanted to see. Ask that Light in and be changed forever.

Love you, Teri
