Collage on Canvas

Good morning,

I commissioned my very talented nephew, Andy Sandberg, to do a collage on canvas for me of Jesus looking up and smiling toward heaven at God. I love it! A collage has so much texture and the whole canvas paints the picture all with torn paper. Not easy to do and Andy nailed it! I sent him a picture of what I liked and it was titled, “Jesus smiling – the JOY of the Lord is my strength – Abba, Father.”

I not only loved the picture I sent Andy, I love the title the original artist gave her painting.

So many metaphors in all of this…

Our life is torn pieces of experiences, colors of life, but I think Abba, Father, Jesus and Holy Spirit from above and within, sees us as beautiful and not just one thing. We are so complex and fragile yet strong. Those of us who have asked Jesus to be our personal friend and Savior, believe God loves us so much He sent His son to be the glue that holds us together and then gave us Holy Spirit to live on the inside of us to help us, comfort us, give us wisdom, strength, knowledge, and so much more!

I, too, look up to Abba, Father and smile so often and just say, “Thank you, I know that was YOU!”

Praise is one of the best things we can do to show our love, thanks, even in our times of trouble or sickness. Praise is for us to remember that God is for us and He is BIG! He is not keeping a scorecard of our negatives. He is a part of your painting. A picture with dark colors and bright colors of a beautifully and wonderfully made you, that He adores! Praise the Lord, Hallelujah!

Love you, Teri
