I’ve Never Been Happier!

Good morning,

My sister, Barb and my Mom went to visit my Dad in the senior home a few days ago. He is 90 years old, confined to a wheelchair, has terrible infection in his foot, basically blind, losing weight every day, diabetes, heart problems, etc…And as they were sitting by him and holding hands together he says, “I’ve never been happier!”

How can he say that?

Faith breathes gratitude! Evidence Jesus is real. Our soul thrives on gratitude.

We have been studying faith in our bible study and our Pastor Joel at Westwood Church did a fantastic job of describing faith in his Mother’s day sermon. We watched his sermon on YouTube together on our bible study zoom class last week and it was so good!

Jesus is the game changer. When you are filled with faith the Holy Spirit comes to you and he gives you good fruit; Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness, faithfulness, self-control.

The only way to explain my Dad saying that he is happy is faith! He breathes gratitude. My Dad counts his blessings. He is not anxious about anything. He loves!

Faith begets grit! Grit separates faithful lives from aimless lives.

We go around once in this life time. Going around with our faith in Jesus; He gives us a PEACE that passes all understanding.
