Happy Birthday Dad

Good morning,

I have missed writing the spiritual messages. I took a break over the winter but now spring is in the air and today would have been my Dad’s ninety first birthday. I watched a Billy Graham documentary yesterday. He always spoke the gospel. The gospel is the good news of Christ!

My Dad was saved at a Billy Graham crusade when he was sixteen. Being saved is asking Christ to forgive you of your sins and believing He is the Son of God.

After that the rest of your life is spent learning Who Christ is and how much He loves you.

My Dad radiated the love of Christ. He took time to enjoy Jesus. He spoke words that were positive and kind. He sang, smiled and listened to you when you talked. He forgave easily and found joy in every circumstance. Now, we know every circumstance is not enjoyable! The struggle can be difficult, horrible or out of our control. It is Christ in you the hope of glory that gives the joy. He promises to work everything out for your good.

I know for me, I knew, that I knew, that I knew, my Dad was going to heaven with the Lord and I would see Him again one day. That assurance gives me joy!

God made us to love us!

Happy birthday Dad!

The gift of the gospel is wrapped up and being handed to each of us. Take the present and open it! Receive the best present ever!

Love you, Teri
