What does that Mean?

Good morning,

Do any of you know the christian singer, Brandon Lake? He has the most beautiful way of taking words that we know as Christians or things like the doxology and putting them to song. Take the word Hallelujah. The song is titled Gratitude. This song is so simple, but how he uses it is amazing.

It has a part that goes like this, “So I throw up my hands and praise you again and again ’cause all that I have is a hallelujah, hallelujah. And I know it’s not much, But I’ve got nothin else fit for a king except for a heart singing Hallelujah, hallelujah.” He did a short reel of just that part in a cool, cave like setting with just his guitar and it is powerful!

Hallelujah in the Hebrew means GRATITUDE.

Do you know what Amen means? It means TRUTH.

A big part of being a believer in Christ is words. God left us His Word. In the beginning God spoke the world into being. He made us in His image and he gave us the power to create through our words.

My prayer today is that we create something beautiful for ourselves and others out of words.

Speak encouragement, love, hope, gratitude and truth on people you talk to today! It is so easy to tell someone they did good. You like their hair or cooking. You are happy they are your friend… You get the idea!

Go, do today with Hallelujah and Amen!!

Love you, Teri
