Sitting in my Favorite Spot

Good morning,

I have read a few books and follow a minister named, Bill Johnson. He posted a short little message about praying the other day and it really stuck with me. He told how he heard a minister say, “if you only have 10 minutes to pray take 7 or 8 of those minutes to worship and praise, you can pray for a lot of things in 2 minutes. The reason is something happens to your heart, something happens and it becomes subconsciously aware of the heart of God. Being a worshipper positions me to pray effectively.”

Worship means: Ardent admiration or love, adoration.

The last few weeks since I heard this I have started my morning just sitting in my favorite spot in the house looking out at the lake and thinking of all the things about Father, Son, Holy Spirit I love, like what I see and how BIG God is and how nothing is impossible for Him. How something smells, that He gave us the ability to love my family and friends. How great God is that he gave us gifts and talents and a brain and body that can do so many extraordinary things, etc….

You know what happens after thinking about how Big and Great God is, I start to become so grateful and then what I pray about is not complaining, it becomes hopeful and trusting that He hears me, loves me and all will be well!

Love you, Teri
