Good morning,
My sweet grandson, Beau broke his arm and had to get his tonsils out all in the same week. Seems like so much for a little body to heal. I went to see him the day between the break and the surgery and he was playing and showing me cards and toys that went with the new toys I gave him. He was not concerned with all of it. Just trusting his Mom and Dad would be there to help him and he just didn’t use his hurt arm. Kids have a simple and uncomplicated approach to life.
2 Corinthians 11:3 But I am afraid that, even as the serpent beguiled Eve by his cunning, your minds may be corrupted and led away from the simplicity of [your sincere and] pure devotion to Christ.
Jesus told us what to do to follow God’s plan: Believe! Keep your devotion to Christ only. Don’t add other idols or religions or gods to Christ. He is more than enough and He is the only way to eternity with God. Keep this pure devotion simple!
We need to stop struggling, thinking we have to do something all the time to have God love us or be happy with us. We need to be childlike in this simple way of relating to God. Show people your fruit of believing Christ has you no matter what your troubles are. Love, joy, peace, patience, goodness, kindness, gentleness, faithfulness, self-control, forgiving people, etc. People see that in you and it is your ministry. You lead people to want to know Jesus by the beautiful confidence you have in believing and trusting God.
Love you, Teri
