Makes you Think

Good morning,

I watched an interesting movie about a nine year old little girl who heard about FAITH in church and decided to apply it when she was at the lake with her brother and his girlfriend and found a bird that was dead. Her brother told her it was dead and there was nothing to be done except bury it. She wanted to use her faith and pray for the little bird with honest conversation with God that went something like this, ” Hi God, I know you love this little bird and you would want him alive. I want him alive too. I believe you can do anything so could you give his life back to him? thank you for listening to me ” Just about that time the brother and his girlfriend had been fishing in another spot and came back as the bird opened his eyes and flew away.

What do you think her act of faith caused in the little town she lived in?

Most of the adults, not all of them did not believe it. they said,”The bird wasn’t really dead. God doesn’t just do that. There is another reason that happened.” Negative, negative, unbelief!

So, she saw a dog hit by a car and prayed for him and he got up and walked away from it. Her friend had been paralyzed from an accident and he asked her to pray for him and he walked the next day.

What do you think most of the adults in the little town said?

“There has to be another explanation. Miracles don’t just happen. It can’t be her faith.”

Romans 4:18-21 Talks all about Abraham being 100 years old and his wife about the same age and God told him they would have a child. “Without becoming weak in faith he considered his body, now as good as dead [for producing children] the deadness of Sarah’s womb. But he did not doubt or wavier in unbelief concerning the promise of God, but he grew stronger and empowered by faith, giving glory to God, being fully convinced that God has the power to do what He had promised. Abraham and Sarah did have a child, almost 20 years they waited in faith. God made sure there was no mistaking it was Him that provided the miracle pregnancy they were about 120 years old or so when Isaac was born.

What do you need your faith for today; health, joy, finances, happy home life, children, love, forgiveness? Keep your heart filled with faith and your actions filled with obedience. Wait on God, stay confident that Jesus will keep His word. Believe if God said it you can have it. Doubt and unbelief is the biggest problem in most of our lives. Why couldn’t adults believe what they saw with that little girls faith? How many times are you negative instead of positive? Doubt instead of belief!

Love you, Teri
