Chewed my homework!

Good morning,

I keep a small binder of scriptures that can fit in the palm of my hand. It is small so I can bring it in my purse or with my Bible. I read them most mornings. They are verses that say what I have or who I am in Christ. Encouraging, and declarations of what God has done for me as a believer. I received some news last Thursday that I have some pre-cancerous cells and will need a hysterectomy. I kept my peace, read my scriptures, watched a few healing shows and I felt real peace in my heart all will be well. Three things happened right after that:

Friday I teach Bible study and right before that one of my dogs who have never once touched my scriptures binder chewed it up! Literally chewed my homework!! I knew the devil did not want me to read or believe the Word of God especially when faced with a health problem. But, you know what it just made me convinced that the word is true!

That same night we had dinner with Pastor Joel and Keri and he said Sunday he was doing a healing message and was going to ask anyone in the audience to come forward for oil and prayer. He had only ever done that once before in all the years at Westwood. I told him I would be there!

Thirdly, I noticed for the first time that I have 5 verses in my binder that are from Psalm 103. One was quoted from a show I was watching and I decided to look it up and as I read the whole chapter is when I noticed I already knew and was saying most of that chapter. It is on the mercies of God.

I have had many things happen that I have had to use my faith for over the years like; Ten miscarriages but I never gave up on believing I could have my own children and I did have two healthy pregnancies and two beautiful boys! A flesh eating brown recluse spider bit me and I remember sitting in the Dr. office and quoting scripture that this would not hurt me and my son who I texted while there and he must have googled it and he text “do not google this, it is horrible.” I never had any problem, the shot they gave me stopped it. I ate some celery that must have had a mold in it and it gave me anaphylactic shock, my face swelled up and my throat was closing but we made it to the hospital in time for medicine to stop it. Shingles in my ear that paralyzed my face for a time but now I am fine. You get the idea! The devil is a liar and came to kill, steal and destroy but God! God loves us so much and sent Jesus to save us and Holy Spirit to help us and angels to watch us. We will have trials and troubles but keep your Faith strong! God want us well, healed and at peace!
