Makes Me Smile

Good morning,

I have a spot in my office on the wall by my desk that has notes and pictures and a few quotes or scriptures that I like. I keep them there and look at them periodically.

Many of them are special notes people have sent me just saying they are thankful for our friendship. Notes that Charlie and Jack’s teacher sent or football coach had them write to us. Notes from my Dad and Mom who can’t write them anymore. Pictures of my dogs who aren’t with us anymore. My family when they were little and big. A beautiful letter someone took the time to write all with scriptures for each sentence titled, Father’s Love Letter.

The wall makes me smile and feel such love!

Don’t ever under estimate the power of, Thank You!

Don’t ever under estimate the power of telling someone in words on a page or card that you love them and care about them.

God loves you beyond measure. He gave us a huge book filled with words telling us how much He loves us. Somehow people have turned that into a discipline rule book that keeps a report card instead of a love letter! The gospel is good news, not a, no fun news! Just incredible how things get distorted.

God loves you, I love you, who do you love? Try telling them in a note. Crazy thing is you feel so good after writing it and sending it. Love how God made it MORE awesome to give then receive WHEN receiving is awesome too! Just not a down side to telling people how good you feel about them.
