Good morning,

The Gospel is the good news! I always heard this as a believer, but I wasn’t always sure what it fully meant. I mean, I knew Jesus died for our sins and rose again and is sitting at the right hand of God. That is really good news! What took me a while to understand, is Grace.

Grace is the part of the gospel I really want people to get. It is a gift! You simply believe Jesus is Lord, take in your heart and all your sins are forgiven; past, present, future. How? Jesus trades his righteousness for all your wrongness! It just seems too easy and I somehow have to add to that. You don’t!

Grace is a person, Jesus! He paid where we cannot. He fulfilled the law which we could never keep even 2% of the time. Some of the Ten commandment we can do, but most the time we have thought murderous things about the people we live with before we have had coffee. God looks at our thoughts, heart and deeds where the commandments are concerned. The law demands and no one can do it. We are not to mix a little Law and a little Grace. Grace is completely a gift. We don’t lose it and gain it by our ability doing good or bad.

So why did Grace come to earth as a baby and be God and man? Because God loves!!! He did what we could not. He traded places with anyone who has faith to believe Jesus is the son of God and wants forgiveness. Guilt and condemnation are the biggest and deepest roots of a person who is in messed up and that can apply to most of us if we don’t understand every sin is forgiven along with the guilt, fear and condemnation! God wants you righteousness conscience not sin conscience!

Grace is a person. Grace is SUPPLY. Grace wants to have a real relationship with you. Not a person who is always judging you. In the Bible Jesus always healed or forgave a person right away, just as they were. He works in your heart after you have believed. He helps you through His mercy.

Roman 10:9 says; If you declare that Jesus is Lord, and believe that God brought Him back to life you will be saved.

Saved from what? A life that is separated from God for eternity. God loves, people want rules and perfection and report cards. God does not. He wants you supplied; to talk with, help, love, give health, give peace, give joy….The Bible is a book so we can know Father, Son and Holy Spirit to help you live fully in His Grace and mercy!
