Can I Trust Him

Good morning,

We are in the homestretch this week with Christmas on Sunday. Have you ever asked the question, “What matters most for me this Christmas?”

For me it is the word, TRUST.

I want to trust Jesus, with everything I don’t have any control over. I started December knowing that was the ‘word’ He gave me and my part was to be aware every time I needed to just stop, recognize this is a trusting moment, say a tiny prayer that I was giving it to You, Jesus ( and not taking it back two seconds later) and believe that I can trust you to take care of my worry. My part was to have a ‘positive response’ to trusting Him. I had to stop rehearsing my problem and have faith in what I needed from Jesus would be supplied. This takes positive practice. Like exercising a muscle.

I heard once about a guy, Charles Blondin a tightrope walker who walker across 160 foot tightrope above Niagara Falls several times. After pushing a wheelbarrow across while blindfolded the crowds oohed and ahhhed! He has proved that he could do it; Of that , there was no doubt. But now he was asking for a volunteer to get into the wheelbarrow and take a ride across the Falls with him! They had believed but when asked to get in….Of course no one did!

They trusted until it was put to the test. Are you in a test? Jesus is trust worthy. If you step out and actually give Him your life… worries, anxiety, hopes, dreams, relationships, finances, health…The greatest things happens; you see that He does what we can’t. He waits for us to stop doing the heavy lifting and trust Him. What has been truly remarkable is, I can have joy while trusting Him. God is so good!

I hope you have a very Merry Christmas. Jesus trusted God and so can we!

Love you,Teri
