Homestead Rescue

Good morning

I have been binge watching, Homestead Rescue on Discovery plus and I find it so interesting on SO MANY LEVELS. The show is about the Raney family who live off grid in Alaska and go and help people all over America who are in crisis with their homestead. Their family has been living this lifestyle for three generations and know the difficulty and hard work that comes with this. The Father, Marty Raney is never condissending to these people. He is there to help them however he can.

The first level: The Raney family who are the rescuers are so loving and sympathetic! They are never judgmental of the situation these people have gotten themselves into. They are there to help, love and give confidence back to these people that are defeated. They are truly there to help and encourage these people with their hard earned knowledge.

The second level: They laugh with these people and cry with these people who are so distraught by the dream they had and the dream that turned into a nightmare.

The third level: The Raney daughter and son, Misty and Matt are also such hard workers. They work for a solid week in mud, rain, heat, cold, and dangerous conditions. They show that they care by going through the journey with these people, talking and having a good time or a heart to heart as they work toward the end goal.

I think this is what it looks like when the Bible says we are to be the hands and feet of Jesus. Jesus didn’t come to condemn people. He came to save us and give us life abundantly with peace and joy. We all need Jesus to help us if you are a believer in Christ. We all have trials and troubles at one point or another. Jesus uses people, prayer, and the Bible to transform us a little at a time. If you think about it, aren’t we are most filled with joy when we are helping a situation or person! Love how He made us this way!

Love you, Teri
