Worry Box

Good morning,

I heard a story about a person who instead of letting the anxiety and worries of life get to him, he made a worry box and wrote down what ever was a problem and put it in the box and let it go setting one day a week to worry about it. He then would only open the box on Wednesdays. What he found was that most of the problems had solved themselves by Wednesday and he was glad he had not wasted his time thinking and being troubled about many different things.

I made a worry box to show our Bible study. I choose a small box because I don’t like to worry or be anxious. On the top I wrote:

Worry Box–All worries go in, Open on Wednesday–Philippians 4:6-8

around the box I wrote on each side those verses;

Do not be anxious or worried about anything, but in everything by prayer & petition with THANKSGIVING continue to make your specific requests known to God. Phil 4:6

And the peace of God (that peace which reassures the heart, that peace which transcends all understanding, stands guard over your heart, minds in Jesus will guard your heart. Phil 4-7

Finally, believers whatever is true, honorable and worthy of respect , whatever is right and confirmed by God’s Word, pure and wholesome, lovely and brings peace, whatever is admirable and of good repute; if there is any excellence, worthy of praise THINK CONTINUALLY ON THESE THINGS Phil 4:8

What I found this week was if I started to worry about something I stopped. I didn’t even write it down because I knew if I prayed about it, started to thank God for all His wonderful care of me, protections, love, power, and hope. I felt fine! Thankfulness chases out anxiety and you know what I was a peace!

We need to be doers of the Word!!!! Apply it with me.

Love you, Teri
