Good morning,
I feel like most people have a favorite number. My number is 16. It is my birthday and it also is three of my four sisters birthday. I am 1.16, Shelly is 5.16 and Barb is 3.16. So I am prettying in-tune when I see or hear about. I was on Instagram the other day and I see this post about Tim Tebow the football player who is talking about the day he put John 3:16 on his black out under his eyes and 94 million people googled it while watching a national college playoff game on January 8th. He said his first thought was,” 94 million people don’t know what John 3:16 is?!”
He went on to say three years later on Jan 8th he was in a game with the Broncos and Steelers and he didn’t have John 3:16 on his face but the PR guy called him and said” you will not believe this but, you threw 316 yards, rushed 31.6, time of possession was 316 and you ran 31.6 yards. People are googling John 3:16 again and it is going crazy.”
The story shows how when we are brave and share the good news of Jesus, which John 3:16 is the essence of what that is: God so loved the world that He gave His only Son that whosoever believes in Him will not perish but have ever lasting life. John 3:16
God will use our efforts even when we don’t know how He will use them or how many times He will use them.
Our part is to share whatever we have that fits us to tell people about the love and salvation in Jesus. Maybe you are generous, joyful, leader, teacher, coach, a friend, relative, Mom or Dad… they will know we are Christians by our love. Share the love you have been given by God and He will do the rest.
Love you, Teri
