Good morning,
I saw a video from this boy who is in his early twenties and he is telling about the time he told his parents he was going to Waffle House. He was going for his last meal and then he was going to end his life. He sees this guy alone waiting for a table and he says,” if we get a table for two we can get seated right away”, so the guy joins him. He tells how the man starts talking about his horrible life, getting a divorce, the wife is taking his kids, etc… Now the boy was trying to run away from his problems one more time and he has this guy dumping all his problems but, the one thing the man says really resonated and it wasn’t anything about Jesus or anything like that but when the guy said, “that he loved his wife but, she didn’t love him and a relationship can’t grow without mutual love.”
The boy started bawling and threw the money down and just left. He said,” the man probably thought he had offered me but it was like all the head knowledge I had been taught about Jesus came to me.” I realized I knew Jesus loved me but, I had never loved him back!!
the boy goes on to say Jesus wants me to talk to him about what I am going to eat today, what I am going to wear. He wants to be involved. He wants to know the ins and outs of me. He wants me to love him back and you love someone back when you have a two way relationship. Jesus isn’t about a bunch of rules and traditions. That night instead of taking his life he gave his life to somebody who wanted it! He prayed to be free of anxiety and addiction and Jesus set him free.
Hallelujah, it is relationship that Jesus wants. We get that when we love Him back!
Love you,Teri
