Take Delight

Good morning,

I love this scripture; Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you your heart’s desires. Psalm 37:4. It makes me think of my Dad. He had delight in his voice, smile, love every single day! You knew he loved “the good Lord”, Dad knew Him.

Do you ever wonder how, you take delight in the Lord? We spend time; getting to know who God is by reading about Him in the Bible, listening to Christian music, going to church to hear His word preached, spending time with believers in Jesus Christ, watching tv that talks about Jesus, etc…

Then,

We apply what we learned.

His desires start to become our desires…We start to love ourselves because God say’s we are precious to Him. We love our neighbor, family, friends and pray for their needs and desires. We become delighted when we see hope, and joy in our trials. We delight in the Lord when we can find a group of believers who will pray with us and we see our prayers answered. We delight in the Lord that we get to be his hands and feet. We delight in the Lord when we can help people to know Him and be secure that no matter what happens their name, if you believe Jesus is Your Savior is in the Lambs book of Life and nothing can take it out.

The key to delight in the Lord is to know Him and we know Him by the Word.
