Free Will

Good morning,

I was watching an interview with investigative journalist and former atheist Lee Strobel and he was talking about his new book, Is God Real? He gives many scientific and philosophical evidences but one thing he said was, “why give us free will?” He said,” free will is about love. God wants us because of love to choose Him.”

We have a friend in Colorado who told me a story about her husband going through radiation and he had to wear a mesh cage over his head and face, bolted down to the table while the machine was going over him. He hated that cage and was scared and extremely anxious as one would imagine. His friend said you have two choices; 1) you can hate that cage, run it over with your car when finished, shoot it, destroy it. or 2) you can love that cage because it will save your life. He chose to love the cage and it changed his whole attitude and physical demeanor. It still stunk to wear it and go through it but when it was over he had all the staff and doctor sign the cage and it is still in his office 5 years later.

What a blessing Jesus will save our life for eternity! What a blessing we get to choose!
