Do it with all Your Might

Good morning,

My sister Barb, sent a devotional this morning from Ecclesiastes 9:10 ‘Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might.’ Our Mom always said, “if you are going to do something, do it right.” She also was very diligent in whatever she put her hand to. She would follow through and do it; beautiful if she was sewing, tasty and hospitable if at her restaurant of 41 years, play the piano well because of practice, put her legs to her prayers and do her part, I could go on about her living her life in this way. Now, when she is not able to do things for herself I always think back to her example and want to be that way like her and for her.

As King Solomon contemplated life, he offered two recommendations. First, live in the most meaningful way we can–fully enjoying the good things God allows us to experience in life and all of God’s good gifts. Second, work with diligence. Life is full of opportunities, and there is always more work to do. We’re to take advance of the opportunities God give us, seeking His wisdom on how to prioritize work and play to serve Him.

Love you, Teri
