Good morning,
Have you heard the saying, “the circle of life?” It is talking about birth, life and death. Our family just went through this with the passing of our beautiful mom, my birthday and my nephews wedding. My mom was 92 when she passed away with all five of her children around her. The love in her room was deep and the fragrance of God was tangible to me in the room. Each of our lives is filled with the choices we make and the people we surround ourselves with. Reflecting on a persons life or watching as a couple decides to start a marriage together makes you look at your own life.
As I celebrated my sixty fifth birthday I looked back and was so thankful I invited Jesus into my life at 12 years old in my room after attending Vacation Bibles school. My relationship with Christ started out with, Jesus loves me and I love Jesus. Simple and true. When my life was hard or I was hurt I always knew if He closed one door, He would open another. I always trusted Him to one day bring the right husband, give me children even when I was having all the miscarriages. Protect and bless my family as we grew. Heath issues He has been with me and I always am healed by His beautiful grace. The friends we are surrounded by are good and filled with believers and we pray for each other.
As my walk with Christ has matured. I realize He not only loves me, He is for me, He is HUGE, He has provided more than I can see or feel. In Him is a successful, luxurious life. He will never leave me or forsake me. Like my Mom and Dad shared their faith with us, they knew the only thing they will take with them for eternity are the ones who know Jesus, the ones they love.
I saw a post from Clint Eastwood at 94 he said. “Don’t look for luxury in watches or villas or cars! Luxury is laughter and friends, luxury is rain on your face, luxury is hugs and kisses. Don’t look for luxury in shops, or gifts, don’t look for it in parties, or events. Luxury is being loved by people, luxury is being respected, luxury is having your parents alive, luxury is being able to play with your grandchildren, luxury is what money can’t buy.” I so agree!
Love you, Teri
John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him will not perish but have everlasting life.
