A Funny Story

Good morning,

I saw a funny post the other day about a older man who rear ends a guy in a fancy car. The man that was rear ended is livid. He says, “you pay me ten thousand dollars right now or I am going to beat you to a pulp!” The older man who caused the accident says, “let me call my son, he is a dolphin trainer and he will know what to do.” He gets him on the phone and the livid guy says, “hey, dolphin trainer boy, get down here now with ten thousand dollars or I will beat your Dad to a pulp!” The son says, “I will be there in ten minutes.” The son shows up and beats the livid guy up and says to his Dad, “how many times do I have to tell you, I train Navy Seals not dolphins!”

That analogy reminded me of our God. We know how BIG and STRONG our God is even if other people don’t know or realize Who we are trusting and have confidence in!

Steve and I just watched the series, The House of David, on amazon prime. It is so good and the eight shows do a fantastic job of showing how David was young and a shepherd boy and they all underestimated him. When he finally is allowed by his father to go to the battlefield where Goliath the giant is talking smack about the Israelite’s, their God, their fear, their lack of courage, David is shocked no one has tried to stop Goliath from blaspheming God!!

David said he was terrified to face Goliath but he was going to face the giant anyway because “my God will rescue me!” David goes on to tell the giant, “he will kill him for the battle is the Lords and He will hand you over to me. All the world will know there is a God in Israel.” 1 Samuel17:45

We have a Savior, Who is mighty to save us from whatever we are battling! Remember to trust Him, have confidence in Him, Believe in His beautiful Son who willing rode in on a donkey that first Palm Sunday into Jerusalem to be handed over and to die on the cross for each one of us!

Remember; He rose up on the third day and is alive forever more and wants to be in relationship with you! Hallelujah!!

Love you, Teri
