Nothing but Joy

Good morning,

Last week I had the most people ever come to, spiritualmessageboard.com! It is so exciting that people are going back to church in record numbers and people are actively looking for Jesus!

The Bible says “Consider it nothing but joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you fall into various trials. Be assured that the testing of your faith (through experience ) produces endurance, leading to spiritual maturity and inner peace.” James 1:2-3.

The beautiful thing about knowing Jesus and having Him as your Savior and friend is the assurance that He will always be there filling you with what you need at the time or pointing you to His word for what you need or sending people for what you need!

I went through the experience of sitting in a doctors room after a hysterectomy and having a nurse tell me, “well, they found bad cells, cancer and you will need 6 rounds of chemo and 5 weeks of radiation and 3 years of immunotherapy and you will lose your hair because this kind of chemo kills all fast growing cells.” The room feels like the air got sucked out and you are floating in a bad dream. What do you do?!

I literally said a little silent prayer of, ” thank you, God that I have known you for years and years and I know you have always helped me and I will be just fine and when it is over and I will have a great testimony of all the ‘silver linings’ you have given me.” They did a pet scan before the chemo started and they found absolutely no cancer. I did the treatment with a mindset of; I am healed! I have already got it! My prayer was only let the treatment help me with no side effects. Thank you, Jesus my healer!

It has been two years since that day in the office and I am completely healed, Praise God! I did not lose my hair because of a cold hat and get this, the hysterectomy was on my son, Charlie’s birthday, the chemo started 7 weeks later on my son, Jack’s birthday and they started radiation on Steve’s birthday! For that to happen is a God thing in my mind! My 3 most precious days of the year because of those people and those are the exact days that were chosen to do these very scary things. But, God is what I say! He knew I would find comfort in that.

John 14:27 That He has left us His peace. Peace I leave with you, my perfect peace I give to you: not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled nor let it be afraid. Let my perfect peace calm you in every circumstance and give you courage and strength.

Erika Kirk at her husband’s memorial service was displaying this courage and strength as she forgave the killer of her husband and told that she will continue the work of reaching young people for Christ and our country!

Counting every circumstance as joy comes from all the times when you look back and see Jesus help!! You see how you grew and stretched and how the goal of the gospel is to reach all sinners of ever kind to hear that they have a Savior who paid the price with His blood and will forgive and rescue them as a gift!!!! Nothing will ever take them out of His hand. He will comfort and give peace, beautiful, beautiful peace like He did for me with a health issue and even when your heart is breaking like Erika Kirk.

Love you, Teri
