Shine

Good morning,

I watched a short reel the other day and the minister was saying there is a general mindset in the body of Christ that can’t continue, we tend to use God to get through life. We can’t continue to do that. That is not why He sent his Son. He sent His Son to get us back to Him so he can put His life and ways and nature, in us and then through us, so who He is can manifest through us and whether we are treated right or wrong He comes through us. If you squeeze an orange you get orange juice!

I was squeezed as a Christian on Monday. I had gone to a cute little tree lot, Timber Bay Youth Outreach which sends kids to camp. I picked out and paid for my tree on Wednesday before Thanksgiving and the soonest they could deliver it was on Sunday. I was little disappointed but it was a huge tree and it was the only way. I like a very tall tree, about fourteen feet so I go early to pick it out because they only have a few.

By Monday it was not delivered and no one had called me. So I drove over there and in the car I was mad about it but I decided and said out loud to myself, ” be nice! ” I found the tree guy and he said, “I was just getting in my truck to come to your house with pictures of the two trees left that were bigger and not what you had picked see we didn’t get your phone number and someone had taken the sold sign off your tree and it was gone.” I stayed nice and picked out another tree and kept smiling and staying positive. The older gentlemen working there said, “man, I cannot believe you are being so nice about this.” I said, ” well, God usually works things out better for me when stuff like this happens so I am hoping this tree is better than the one I picked out.”

They delivered the tree and were not going to set it up originally. They don’t do that but, since I was being “so nice” they came with a saw and 3 guys to do it. It also happened three guys had come to set up a snow fence at my house and they offered to help too! Wow, six guys now to put the huge tree in place. I gave them each some candy bars left over from Halloween, they loved that!

The older gentlemen with the tree crew turned around as he was leaving and said, ” the way you handled this, I really do see God in you and this.”

The devil doesn’t care if you are in church on Sunday, he cares if you shine! When a child of God is squeezed…they should shine, that is what the devil hates and God loves!
