Today is Gorgeous!

Good morning,

Today is a gorgeous morning in Minnesota! The sun is out, the temperature is supposed to be in the 60s and it looks and feels like spring! It makes me want to shout: Hallelujah, He is Risen! Holy Week is like Christmas and your birthday all rolled into one big day with the bright sun shining!!

Think about it: On Christmas everyone gives and receives gifts with the people they love and care about. On your birthday you are the one who is special and all the love and presents are given to you, not because of anything you did, but because you were born! We don’t get to control the weather. A beautiful day is a beautiful day… we can be grateful for it and get out in it or not, but we don’t get to have any say in it.

God gave us all the biggest Christmas present! We individually are so special to him that our gift of salvation is free and offered to every single person on earth to take and unwrap the bow and look inside the box and receive it, because they are loved. Jesus wants to know just you as his friend, one that he hangs with as a bestie! A bright light starts to fill our heart as we walk with Christ; as babies, at first, then we grow and learn and mature in the unbelievable love, forgiveness, and power that is our God and we become a bright light!

God wanted us back after the devil tricked Adam and Eve in the garden! God had given dominion over all the earth to them and they gave it to the devil. Now that sin was on the earth and God could not be around sin and it had to be punished, because He is a just God. He could have been done with people all together! Instead, He sent Jesus to trade places with anyone who wanted a Savior, who would take your punishment, beating, and hang on a cross. For three days, go down and take all the power and dominion away from the devil and rise out of the grave, alive, and go to the Father, who so deeply loved and dearly prized the world that He gave up His only begotten Son, so that whosoever believes in, trusts in, clings to, and relies on Him shall not perish, come to destruction, or be lost but have eternal everlasting life. Hallelujah, He was so much stronger than the devil and He rose out of that grave!!

Love you, Teri
