A lot of times we forget to be kind to ourselves, forgive ourselves, encourage ourselves. I know I talk a lot about my Dad, but he is such an advocate of this very thing. He would often say, “I had a little talk with myself.”
Jesus says over and over again that words have power: Power of life and death is in the tongue. Speak to that mountain and it shall be moved. He took the children [one by one] in His arms and blessed them [with kind, encouraging words].
