Sounds of Freedom

Good morning,

I have been doing a study in the Hebrew names of God. I saw a list of the His names one time and I thought it would be interesting to find out what each name meant and write it in a small book I could reference easily.

One of the names is El Shaddai. It is derived from the word women’s breasts (shad) this denotes God as provider, supplying, nourishing, and satisfying his people with their needs as a mother would her child. God our sustainer.

Shaddi is also related to the Hebrew word (Shadad) which means to over power or destroy, referring to Gods absolute power. This describes God as the one who triumphs over every obstacle and all opposition. Used together El Shaddai is usually translated Lord, God Almighty. God is our all-powerful and all sufficient sustainer.

There is a new movie out titled, Sounds of Freedom and we as Christians need to go see it and buy tickets in theaters so they keep showing it. It is the true story of a former government agent turned vigilante who embarks on a dangerous mission to rescue hundreds of children from sex traffickers.

Just like God is referenced as mother and father our hearts should be outraged and aghast at what people are willing to do to children!! If we can help stop this by going to a movie that Jim Caviezel, who played Jesus in, Passion of the Christ has again starred in this film because it needs to be shown. Passion was the biggest box office hit of all time and movie theaters were going to boycott it but Christians went to the theaters and money keeps a movie showing. As mothers and fathers and anyone who loves precious children we are being given a way to help stop this.

God uses people as His hands and feet and I know the Bible says that it would be better for a person to put a milestone around their neck and be cast into the sea then what God has in store for anyone who hurts children.
