Shaq was bad at free throws.

Good morning,

I saw a interview of Tom Brady, the most super bowl rings ever, Quarter Back and he was saying he has been in therapy for 25 years. Back in college football he was approached by their therapist and told he had a victimized mentality that he should work on. I saw another gal post that she was a very average C student in school and is now a CEO of a very successful company. Shaq, one of the best ever players in the NBA could not shoot free throws well at all yet, he is was a superstar of Basketball. Why do we think some people are perfect? Why do we actually relate and like people better when they tell us about their weaknesses that they over came?

I believe it is because we like their honesty. I believe we understand challenges and we really root and respect people who chose to work on things within their control to change their attitude. The Bible talks constantly that God looks at our heart attitude more then anything. He looks at the inner self more than our outside appearanceS. You can be a pro athlete and winning games but be angry, mean and blaming everyone else and negative not enjoying your life or you can make the choice…..to let things go, not be offended, learn from mistakes and become the best version of yourself. You make life so much more enjoyable for yourself and everyone around you. We choose, it is actually a choice!

The Bible says; Your words are life and death, give and it will be given to you, do not be offended, forgive and you will be forgiven, change your way of thinking, a cheerful heart is good medicine, work with excellence. etc…because it works!!

We all have short comings and it makes us humble if we see it as something that taught us to change or be more positive. Jesus loves us and cares mostly about our character. He is the one who changes us with help from the Holy Spirit if we will cooperate and make the positive choice. People will notice our change. Most will root you on but, most importantly, Jesus will absolutely root you on! Hallelujah!

Love you, Teri
